And it begins...

Well, I've offically entered the world of blogs. Why? I've got spare time but don't have any boxes to take a dump in, or a stamp to mark them gauranteed with.
Let's see, what to rant about first.....
Purdue's Football Team
Easy target, but a deserving one. First off, Brandon Kirsch. He's a good QB, I'm not going to challange that. But he's not the right QB. He just cannot make enough of an impact (positive, at least) with his arm. He gives a nice run dimention, but he cannot operate as an game-changing passer in this offense. And in order for this offense to work, the QB has to be a game-changer. Drew Brees, Kyle Orton. Both game-changers, as evidenced by the fact they are both currently starters in the NFL.
Next up, the defense. All 11 starters returning. And yet no one can relyably tackle or cover a receiver. I didn't expect a national title out of them, but I did expect a bowl game. We don't play Michigan or Ohio State this year, and were picked to win the BigTen. How did we respond? By losing every BigTen game to date. 0-5. Reminds me of my freshman year there. But even then we could win a game here or there. And even with the Jim Colletto, "When in doubt give it to Alstott", offense.

I'm going to call it a day for now. Football is on, and it sure isn't going to watch itself. And I really should have gotten more ideas before starting.
